Sustainability Statement

At WholeSoy, we believe that sustainability is a journey and not a destination. We strive to operate in a manner that gives back to the planet that we call home. We prioritize the quality of the relationships we have with our customers, our employees, and our partners and vendors. It is this combination of respectful relationships and positive actions toward the planet that makes WholeSoy unique. We continue to integrate the broader meaning of the word "sustainability" into every aspect of our business and try to make changes each and every day that will benefit the global community.

Here are some examples of how we practice sustainability:

Ingredients

• WholeSoy uses only certified organic soybeans from a Northwestern Texas farm.
• WholeSoy uses certified organic ingredients whenever possible.
• WholeSoy does not use any genetically modified ingredients in any of its products.
• WholeSoy's fruit supplier sources its fruit locally whenever possible.
• WholeSoy's organic evaporated cane juice comes from a carbon-neutral facility.
• WholeSoy's soybean processing is completely chemical free & hexane free (hexane is a hazardous petroleum byproduct commonly used for processing soybeans).

Operations

• WholeSoy pays livable wages and maintains manageable workloads for employees.
• WholeSoy covers the cost of full health benefits for all employees and their families.
• WholeSoy headquarters in San Francisco are located near public transportation (none of our employees drive to work!).
• WholeSoy is proud to be an independently owned and operated company.

Community

• WholeSoy buys office supplies from Give Something Back because they donate profits back to the community (in 15 years they've donated over $3 million to charity).
• WholeSoy regularly donates product to nonprofit organizations, educational institutions and food banks across the country. In the last three years we have helped over eighty groups raise awareness and funds!
• WholeSoy participates in a weekly community supported agriculture (CSA) program.

Packaging

• WholeSoy uses #5 plastic yogurt cups. These cups are not recyclable in all communities, but Preserve runs a program that turns these cups into toothbrush handles. Check out their site to find a drop location near you.
• WholeSoy eliminated the plastic lid from our 6 oz containers. This action alone has kept millions of pounds of plastic from our nation's landfills.
• WholeSoy's packaging is all BPA-free.
