On Track to Return this November

on Monday, 21 October 2013. Posted in Announcements

Estimated Shipping

Thank you all again for hanging in there with us! We have made a lot of progress setting up our own (totally dairy-free) yogurt facility and we are getting so very close to making WholeSoy soy yogurt again! We're gearing up to perform test runs (where we test and optimize the new equipment for maximum soy yogurt quality) and as long as all goes as planned, we estimate that we will begin shipping product again, early to mid November.

Wondering what led up to the unavailability of WholeSoy soy yogurt for so long? Catch up on our previous blog post.

We're so close to re-launching!

The next two weeks are the most critical in determining our exact re-launch date, but as soon as we have a firm date for that first shipment, we will let you know. Feel free to wish us luck and success during this exciting testing phase!

Even with our longer than expected absence the demand is incredibly high for WholeSoy! To most efficiently get soy yogurt back onto store shelves (and also into your soon to be happier tummies), the first few weeks will be dedicated to making our 6 oz. individual cup flavors. We will start rolling out the large 24 oz. tubs as soon as possible shortly after and we will provide details along the way. Not to worry, all your favorite flavors will be available again in the coming weeks using the same recipe, same packaging, and of course the same certifications will apply (Organic, Non-GMO Verified, Vegan, Kosher Pareve) not to mention our facility is totally dairy-free and gluten-free!

Many thanks for your requests!

A huge THANK YOU to you from everyone at WholeSoy for rooting for our return, sending encouraging messages, and making your voices heard at your local retail stores. Retail stores have been listening to your requests for WholeSoy's return – it's really significant and making such a huge difference. So many retailers (including Whole Foods!) want us back because of you! Even though some retailers might still be on the fence because WholeSoy has been gone for so long, we believe they'll make room on the shelves once they know our yogurts are back.

Stay tuned for our official re-launch announcement here on our blog, Facebook, and Twitter. We will also answer additional frequently asked questions on our blog, and provide tips on how to approach your local retail stores about getting WholeSoy back on their shelves.

Thank you again for standing by us and for your unwavering dedication.

Sincerely,

The WholeSoy & Co. Team

WholeSoy is proudly independently owned and fiercely dedicated to making the best tasting vegan soy yogurt on the market! All our products are Non-GMO Project verified and use only US grown, single-source, organic soybeans.

write-congressIf you have yet to share the following with us, please feel free to do so now, as the following information helps a whole lot. Just in case your favorite store is on the fence about making space for WholeSoy again in the near future:

 1. Where do you want to see WholeSoy yogurts carried again? Include the name of the store (city & state, if possible), please.

 2. Why is WholeSoy the yogurt for you and/or for your family?

Thank you so much for not giving up. Our whole family misses your yogurts (vegans and carnivores). I will admit that I have tried many other brands (desperate for any yogurt) and none compare to the taste of yours. Please let everyone know when they come back. Thank you.

I can't wait for your yogurt to come back. my favorite is the plain, unsweetened. Thank you so much for making it. Whole Soy yogurt is unparalleled in the nondairy yogurt world and I so appreciate your efforts. I can't wait to dig into the creamy tartness of the plain, unsweetened with some granola and flax meal mixed in. I also get the vanilla and the plain, sweetened and occasionally the fruit flavors but my first choice is the plain, unsweetened. I purchased in the past at Fred Meyers in Tacoma, WA and the Tacoma Food Coop. Also Marlene's Market in Tacoma, WA and Metropolitan Market in Tacoma, WA. See if you can get your larger size containers at the Metropolitan Market as they've only had the fruit flavored small sizes (I did make a request). Would think I'd died and gone to heaven if I could actually get Whole Soy at my military commissary at Joint Base Lewis McChord. Are you at any commissaries yet?

Congratulations on setting up your own facility! Anxiously awaiting WholeSoy yogurt's return at the East Lansing Food Co-op and Foods for Living in East Lansing, Michigan. And, as someone with severe lactose intolerance and a husband allergic to dairy, I'm very pleased to learn that your new facility is completely dairy-free! And, as always, we love that your yogurt is organic, non-GMO, and vegan.

My son is eagerly awaiting your return! You have been his favorite soy yogurt ever since another brand started using milk-based cultures maybe 6 years ago. Since he has a dairy allergy, that's not an option. He doesn't like any other soy yogurt as much as WholeSoy.

We would love to see WholeSoy back at the Whole Foods in Northbrook, IL (on Willow Rd). Some Jewel Osco stores used to carry soy yogurt (but that may have been the brand that went milk-based...can't remember because that was in an area before we moved). We would also love it if the Jewel in Glenview, IL would consider carrying WholeSoy! (This Jewel is supposed to take over an existing grocery store location on Patriot Blvd starting in January, so it's not up and running yet). THANK YOU!

it can't be soon enough. my vegan friends visited and we both broke out in laughter when we simultaneously mentioned how foul the Nancy's soy yogurt looks (grey and greyer) and tastes (pasty and horrible). even the grocery manager at my local whole paycheck said he it was disgusting and can't wait for whole soy to be back. next we need whole soy frozen yogurt and pops! :)

I really enjoyed your soy yogurt. I went to Whole Foods west of Boston and asked when your product might return to their shelves. I was told that it has taken so long that your product may not return to their shelves :(!

yay!!! I was hoping you'd come back. I really missed your yoghurts and have had to make do with other non-dairy brands. Not enjoying the almond plain but it has to do until you guys return. When I know you are shipping out, I will check with my Sprouts and make sure they know and will be ordering for those of us who have sooo missed your product. I'm after the non-sweetened plain - so very versatile and delicious.

*insert very loud, very long scream of joy here*

Been watching my stores and your blog like a hawk! SOOOO HAPPY for you guys to be back up and running soon! And so happy that the wait is almost over, because I've been missing your yogurts like crazy... they've really thrown my diet for a loop the past few months, I'm almost lost in my kitchen without you, haha. I stayed true to you and didn't even bother trying any other yogurts (apparently a smart move, judging by the large amount of comments here that mention how disgusting tasting/looking they all are).

Please make sure to get back into as many Whole Foods in the Boston area as possible (Cambridge, Medford, Melrose, Symphony, Dedham, etc). Getting your yogurt into Stop & Shop or Shaw's would be great too, but as long as there's 1 store near me, I'll gladly buy them out :)

Just exactly how much yogurt in a day would be considered TOO much? Because I'm afraid the first day I see them back on the shelf I might end up eating like 15 cups to make up for lost time. :P

Congrats on the new facility, and good luck for the next two weeks. I hope everything goes smoothly! I love your yogurt so so much, and I'll keep spreading the word and pestering my local stores for you! HUGS! xoxo

Please make plain unsweetened in the 6oz individual cups. Please! Don't make us no-sugar types wait until you're producing the big tubs again. We've already waited sooooooooo long! It would be helpful to have plain unsweetened in individual size anyway. Please? Pretty please??

Just want you all to know I will be in my local Whole Foods in Portland, OR, THE DAY I know your yogurt is back on the shelf! Like someone else commented, Nancy's soy yogurt is just plain bad, bad, bad -- in both taste and texture compared to yours! I have been suffering through consuming more sugar grams than I want with Silk soy yogurt while you have been off the shelves. Will be reading your blog to get the most recent updates. Good luck on these last few weeks!

Our family can hardly wait for your soy yogurt to return to the shelves!! We have a milk allergy, and your yogurt is the best!! We love all your flavors, but I especially like your plain because it is so great for eating as well as substituting into our favorite recipes to make them dairy free. We love this product. We usually find it at Whole Foods in Salt Lake City, or Harmons. Thanks.

I think you should start with the large size unsweetened plain, since there's nothing else like it and it's so versatile. People can add their own fruit or vanilla, but you can't take the sweetener out if you're making something savory. Silk still makes fruit flavored, but your unsweetened fills a vital niche. We can't wait to take down the "Temporarily unavailable" sign at Bloomingfoods in Indiana.

CANNOT wait to see it back at Whole Foods in Lafayette, CA; Whole Foods in Walnut Creek, CA; Safeway in Orinda, CA; Nob Hill in Martinez, CA. Your plain unsweetened is truly unsweetened; I haven't been able to find any other non-dairy unsweetened yogurt. All the other "plain" non-dairy have some sort of sweetener in them. We also like the individual berry flavors and other misc flavors, which are just so much better than any other brand out there. Thanks!! Good luck in your relaunch!!

Please bring back your delicious frozen yogurt desserts! They were the best vegan "ice cream" I've ever had.

I was so bummed about the loss of Whole Soy Yogurt. I would like to see it at the following stores where I shop:
    1. MOM's Organic Market- Jessup MD
    Wegman's Grocery Store- Columbia, MD

    2. WholeSoy is the yogurt for me because I have food allergies and can't have other types of dairy-yogurts. The other non-dairy yogurts available on the market are not for me. Their flavors and texture make them appear artificial and they don't please the palate. WholeSoy is the ONLY yogurt I will buy, so I've been going without all this time.

Please bring your yogurt back to stores:
    Boise Co-op, Boise, ID
Fred Meyers, Boise, Eagle, & Meridian, ID
Rosauers, Boise, Eagle, & Meridian, ID
Bought the blueberry by the case regularly. Also the large size plain. Best yogurt ever! Love it! Miss it! Hope to be eating it again, soon. Thanks

Is there a new target date yet? I will be so grateful when your yogurts return to the stores. I found another but it doesn't come close to the quality or taste of WholeSoy. Like everyone else here I miss it so very much!
