What is a Vegan?

According to Vegan Action, "A vegan (pronounced VEE-gun) is someone who avoids using or consuming animal products. ...vegans also avoid dairy and eggs, as well as fur, leather, wool, down, and cosmetics or chemical products tested on animals."

Certified Vegan

All WholeSoy & Co. products are certified vegan by Vegan Action of Richmond, Virginia—look for the "V" vegan seal on our packaging. The vegan certification program aids our vegan consumers in identifying products that contain no animal products in any form and are not tested on animals. This means that even our cultures are vegan! Specially designed for WholeSoy, the live active cultures (L. Acidophilus, B. Bifidum, L. Bulgaricus, S. Thermophilus) used in our products are grown on a dairy free medium. Cultures are normally grown on whey.
