Lemon Yogurt Popsicles

Ingredients

  • 1 cup 6 oz Lemon WholeSoy yogurt (or any sweetened WholeSoy yogurt)
  • Fruit pieces (optional)

Directions

"Can you freeze WholeSoy yogurt?" This question is often asked by our customers who miss WholeSoy frozen yogurt. Answer: Yes! However, if you freeze the yogurt in the cup over several hours it separates and becomes icy. Not as appetizing unless you're adding it to a smoothie. So we've discovered a clever solution to create an instant frozen treat without the separation!

To make WholeSoy yogurt popsicles in under 15 minutes we use a handy tool: Zoku Quick Pop Maker. The popsicle maker costs about $50 on its own but we've found it makes the best fresh homemade frozen popsicles ever year round (and we say this without any association with Zoku)! This tool also makes fudge-like popsicles out of any sweetened WholeSoy yogurt! Other brands of fast freezing pop makers may also work just make sure to read their instructions.  Of course you can also make these popsicles the traditional way but they won't be as fudge-like.

If using the Zoku Quick Pop Maker pre-freeze it for at least 24 hours (and don't forget to read their instruction booklet).

Open one container of Lemon WholeSoy yogurt. One container will make approximately 2 popsicles.

Carefully pour in the Lemon yogurt into the Quick Pop Maker and insert each stick right away as the liquid will begin to freeze immediately.

Place the filled Quick Pop Maker into the freezer for approximately 10-15 minutes. Note: they may need a few more minutes in the freezer if it's a hot summer day!

Remove the Quick Pop Maker from the freezer and use the tools provided to remove each popsicle. Place on the drip guard and start eating that delicious frozen treat before it melts!

Optional: Add fresh fruit pieces to any flavor or combine yogurt flavors like Cherry and Blueberry for a Berry-Cherry Popsicle!
