Tequila Margarita Key Lime Popsicle
Ingredients
- 1 cup 6 oz Key Lime WholeSoy yogurt
- 1/2 - 1 Tablespoon Tequila
- Dash of Rock Salt (optional)
Directions
To make these popsicles in under 15 minutes we use a handy tool: Zoku Quick Pop Maker. The popsicle maker costs about $50 on its own but we've found it makes the best fresh homemade frozen popsicles ever year round (and we say this without any association with Zoku)! This tool also makes fudge-like popsicles out of any sweetened WholeSoy yogurt flavor! If you freeze the soy yogurt regularly (as it takes many hours to do) the ingredients will separate and the yogurt will be icy. Of course you can make these pops the traditional way too but they won't be as fudge-like.
Pre-freeze the Quick Pop Maker for at least 24 hours.
Open one container of Key Lime WholeSoy yogurt. One container will make approximately 2 popsicles.
Stir in 1/2 - 1 Tablespoon of Tequila to the cup of yogurt and mix well until no lumps are visible.
Carefully pour in the Key Lime mix into the Quick Pop Maker and insert each stick right away as the liquid will begin to freeze immediately.
Place the filled Quick Pop Maker into the freezer for approximately 10 minutes. They may need a few more minutes in the freezer if it's a hot summer day!
Remove the Quick Pop Maker from the freezer and use the tools provided to remove each popsicle. Place on the drip guard and have a fiesta!
Optional: Dip the finished popsicle in a little bit of rock salt to give it a real Margarita finish!
